In this case, you can use Windows Explorer to run the Install.exe program contained on the BSI Software & Driver installation CD-ROM. If you do not see a window appear that is similar to the one in Figure 3, you may have disabled the â€œautorunâ€ feature of your CD-ROM. Insert the BSI Software Installation CD into your computerâ€™s CD-ROM drive and the installation application should start automatically. The installation process only takes a couple of minutes. Installing the Instacal SoftwareThe Instacal Software facilitates the communication between applications and the USB 1024ls. The first time the USB 1024ls is plugged into a USB port Windows will automatically identify and install the USB-1024LS as a â€œUSB Human Interface Deviceâ€ and display the notice shown in Figure 2. As the USB-1024LS is a USB (Universal Serial Bus) device it is powered directly by your computer and is very easy to install and configure (there is no need to open up your PC).
